Ever wondered what common faults a manifold has?

Audi, VW 3.0 litre TDI engine Inlet manifold fault

For all you techies out there....

An increasingly common problem on 3.0 TDI engines is a fault relating to the inlet manifolds.

The inlet manifolds, which are mostly hidden in the heart of the engine bay can become a problem.

There are mechanical flaps that are moved and controlled by an electric motor. The motor can become faulty, the shaft that has the butterfly flaps attached can become worn and the butterfly flaps can break. Any of these faults can cause your engine warning light to come on.

These faults can only be correctly diagnosed with the correct diagnosis equipment. Here at Russell Automotive Centre, London’s Leading Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda Specialist we are the only Award Winning Specialist in London with the same diagnosis equipment as a main dealer.
