Youth at Risk is working in partnership with the London Borough of Barnet to deliver an innovative programme of coaching and support which enables young people to make successful transitions in their education.
Youth at Risk are training and supporting the coaches.
We need volunteers who would like to coach a young person aged between 16 -18!
Results for YOU as a volunteer will include:
Your training:
You will participate in a training package designed and delivered by some of the best trainers in the field of personal and professional development.
It will start with a 2 day intensive workshop plus an evening session.
This will be followed by 8 follow-up sessions delivered over the year enhancing what you have learnt; developing your skill set further and supporting you in your role with the young people.
Your commitment:
Full participation in the 2- day workshop on Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th July 2013 from 9am - 6pm.
Attend an evening session on the 24th July from 630pm – 9pm.
Attend 8 Follow up evenings delivered over the year (dates tbc).
1 year of coaching a young person, with a face to face contact every fortnight (30 – 40 minutes), plus another contact every other week e.g. email, text or phone call.
