The centre, a Visit England Quality Assured Attraction, is part of the UK’s largest horse sanctuary, Redwings Horse Sanctuary, where animal lovers can get up close and cuddly to over 70 of its adorable residents and hear their stories – and, best of all, it’s FREE!
After making plenty of new four-legged friends, visitors can put their feet up in the Nosebag Café with a hot drink and a slice of cake, while there’s a play area for young children to explore. There’s also an on-site gift shop offering a wide range of souvenirs and you might like to sponsor one of the charity’s adorable Adoption Stars, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year’s adoption costs just £15!
Redwings Oxhill also offers a schedule of family activities during the school holidays.
The centre is open all-year round every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm (closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).
Entry and parking are free, and dogs on leads are welcome.
