Try an adventure race around Thame - there’s a twist though. There’s no set route to the courses! It's an urban orienteering race where you have to find your own way around a series of checkpoints as fast as you can, using a special map of Thame to choose your own route. They could be around the alleys off the High Street, the complex paths around Lea Park, or around Cuttlebrook Nature Reserve. We give you a timing chip to register each one. Be as competitive as you want - you can run or just go at your own pace (it’s absolutely fine to just come for a walk too!).
Seven great courses to choose from, from 2km to 12km. Lots of help available, and no experience is necessary. It's ideal for families and children, as well as runners.
Supported by Thame Town Council, Race HQ is at Thame Town Hall. It’s pre-entry only - you can pre-enter via the event page; it’s £8 for the shorter courses, £14 for longer courses (£4 solo juniors), plus £2 for hire of a timing chip. Groups also just pay the single rate (not per person). Entry fee includes a special very detailed A3 waterproof map of Thame, to keep as a souvenir, plus a print out of your splits and result at the finish.
No experience is necessary and our friendly Welcome Team can help you before you start. You can start a course from 10:30 to 12:30. Just don’t forget your sense of adventure!
