A Weekly Lift for the Lads

Every Thursday from 10am to 12pm, the Men’s Extra Time Hub takes over the Stanley Sports Hub, offering a brilliant opportunity for men aged 50+ to catch up with friends, meet new faces or simply get out of the house for a couple of hours. There’s something comforting about walking into a room where the kettle’s already on, the biscuits are flowing, and everyone’s greeted with a smile.

The session is completely relaxed, with plenty of games to enjoy including darts, dominoes, cards and indoor bowling. Whether someone has a competitive streak or just wants a laugh, there’s something for everyone. And with unlimited tea and coffee included, nobody’s cup is ever empty, it’s basically a guaranteed good morning for just £3.

There’s no need to book, either. Men can simply turn up, take a seat and join in. And if they’d prefer to call ahead or want a little more information, the Stanley Trust team are always happy to help.

A Brilliant New Space for the Ladies

Following the success of the men’s group, Accrington Stanley launched their brand-new Ladies Extra Time Hub, and it’s already brewing up something special. Held every Friday from 10am to 12pm at Stanley Sports Hub, it provides a warm, friendly space for women aged 50+ to come together, share a laugh, and take part in plenty of fun activities.

Just like the men’s session, there’s no booking required, and everyone is welcomed with open arms (and a steaming mug of tea or coffee). Whether someone is coming along with a friend or stepping into something new for the first time, the environment is relaxed, inclusive and full of positivity.
