Each class will study specific aspects of painting, offering you the chance to build a comprehensive understanding of tone, colour relationships, line, edge and composition.
Working from still life and the human figure you will complete a series of engaging exercises, small studies and finished paintings that encourage to you to explore different ways of seeing your subject. We will discuss the work of historical and contemporary artists and you will be guided in developing you own artistic style. There will be two session per term using a life model.
Whether you are a beginner with some experience or a more advanced student, you will find this course both challenging and inspirational.
