Join us for a trip to the Sustrans Track at East Hagbourne: this fascinating evening walk explores what butterflies get up to outside normal ‘transect’ hours. Our route follows a disused railway track which offers expansive views over the surrounding countryside and supports an interesting flora and fauna.
We will take an amble along the track, checking the wildflowers and sun traps for ‘nectaring’ and sunbathing butterflies before they go to roost.
Target species: Marbled White, Small Blue and other butterflies of the wider countryside.
Accessibility & risks: level and mainly hard surfaced.
Narrow roadside path to get to the track. Please check for ticks after the walk and let the leader know if you have picked up any ticks. (Tick advice)
Please check here the evening before the walk to make sure it is going ahead as planned. This page will be updated regularly.
Meet at the Village Hall, East Hagbourne.
