Situated alongside picturesque Culham railway station off the A415 to Dorchester (not actually in Culham village) near Abingdon, The Railway Inn provides a warm welcome to all, with its delicious home-cooked pub food, a varied array of well-kept real ales and comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation for the traveller. There is a lovely garden to enjoy in the summer months.
The Railway Inn is ideally situated for rail connections to London Paddington via the adjacent station, and by road to the nearby M4, A34 and M40. For the business traveller, free WiFi is available throughout and overnight parking is free.
Food and Drink
The Railway Inn prides itself on serving excellent home-cooked traditional pub fare; from Ham and Eggs, Steaks and Sandwiches through to their own very popular home cooked pies. The menu varies throughout the seasons; from summer Ploughmans and Salads through to hearty and warming Winter Pies and Stews.
The friendly public bar serves an ever changing range of real ales and speciality beers. Everyone is welcome, including dogs on leads and children under supervision. NB No dogs allowed in the dining room or the accommodation.
The pub uses locally sourced ingredients where possible and all meat is supplied by a top quality local butcher and fresh vegetables from a local greengrocer.
The main restaurant seats 50 people and is open for breakfasts at 6.00am to 9.00am Week days and 7.00am to 9.30am Saturday and Sunday.
On weekdays food is served 12 - 2.30pm (except Mondays) and 6 - 9pm.
On Sunday a roast lunch is served 12 - 3pm (no food served Sunday Evening).
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
The Railway Inn provides comfortable 3-star Bed and Breakfast accommodation with 10 well-appointed bedrooms. All rooms are En-Suite with free WiFi, colour TV with FreeView, tea and coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast is included, cooked to order.
