Bujinkan - the Ninja tradition (survival, self-protection, and protection of all those around you);
The Society was started in 1975, primarily as a college film society but, within a few years, became open to the whole community living and working in the Abingdon area. Since then, the annual programme has comprised an average of 22 features, including an historic silent and a number of other special events with knowledgeable guest speakers to introduce particular films. From 1985, the silents have been screened with piano accompaniment and, from 2007 to date, shown in a local church. The annual programme is generally made up of a roughly even mix of recent and archive films, both English and foreign language. Details are shown on our website www.abfilms.org.uk
