Since 2007 the Wildhearts Santa Run has become a popular fixture on the city's festive calendar, attracting in excess of 1000 participants and receiving national media coverage.

The run will take place on Sunday 9th December, starting at 1pm from Pittodrie Stadium, the home of Aberdeen FC. Participants will follow a scenic 6km route along the city's beautiful beach front and finish with a lap of honour around the Pittodrie pitch.

The Wildhearts Santa Run really is suitable for everyone, as you can run, walk or jog around the route with family, friends or as part of a team. Either way, taking part in the run is definitely a great way of enjoying a guilt-free Christmas pudding!

Families are also encouraged to take part in the run, as children can participate as WeeSantas! Adult registration includes a full santa suit, whilst WeeSantas receive a t-shirt and Santa hat. And of course, everyone will receive a medal and a goody bag. Entry is just £15 for adults and £10 for children.

At this point, you might be wondering what all this Santa-themed fun is in aid of. Well, the run is being organised by Wildhearts, a charity which helps to launch companies that serve humanity. It's a means of fighting poverty that business people can relate to.

Just imagine how different the world around you would be if everyone decided that compassion and a desire for a fairer world is not a weakness in business, it's a strength.
