If you want to take your mum for a run out in the country for a special meal, try Eat on the Green at Udny Green, The Milton restaurant at Crathes, the Fennel Restaurant in Inverurie, the Kildrummy Castle Hotel or The Ship Inn on the water’s edge in Stonehaven, all offering great food and service.
If you are taking the grandchildren as well, why not try the Brig O Don on King Street, or Apache Spur in Union Square.
In Aberdeen, you could treat her to an Indian at Cinnamon, or for Eastern Mediterranean food, Rendezvous@Nargile. For a traditional Sunday lunch it is difficult to beat The Atholl Hotel, or you could go to Dizzys in Carden Place, Prego or Molly’s Bar and Bistro at the Aberdeen Douglas Hotel.
Don’t forget those flowers! We can highly recommend Four Seasons in Rosemount Place or Petals of Peterculter – but don’t leave it to the last minute!
