A new guide encouraging locals and visitors alike to shop, stay and play in Aberdeen City and Shire this winter is now available across the area.
The Aberdeen City and Shire Winter Festival Guide contains information on entertainment, shopping, accommodation and travel to encourage revellers and shoppers to make most of the festive season locally.
The guide has been distributed to various locations including libraries, hotels, VisitScotland Information Centres, and is also available online.
Visitors to the website can take part in a series of monthly competitions running until January and, to help people to find their way around the region, the website also hosts a comprehensive guide to travel in Aberdeen City and Shire.
It is first time that a joint winter festival guide has been produced to cover activities across Aberdeen City and Shire, and distribution is also more widespread.
Provost of Aberdeenshire Bill Howatson said: “Aberdeen City and Shire has so much to offer over the winter period, and the Winter Festival Guide is a great way to find out what is happening across the area at a glance.
“I hope the guide encourages residents and visitors to shop, stay and play locally this winter and enjoy the wealth of activities that are on offer.”
The guide lists a wide range of events activities running right through to January 2010, taking readers right from the lead-up to Christmas right through to Burns Night and beyond.
