Fake reviews in the news ... but never on thebestofaberdeen!

The Guardian recently posted an article that highlighted the prevalence of fake reviews online.

Many of these fake reviews are written by computer science specialists based in Bangladesh, India and Indonesia who are paid by the review sites.

This is particularly worrying when you think how often we buy products online after viewing previous customers' reviews. Amazon and eBay are prime examples of this - I certainly wouldn't buy anything if the reviews were poor, the retailer wasn't classed as a "top seller" or there weren't any reviews full stop!

It's therefore so reassuring to know that all the reviews featured here on thebestofaberdeen are 100% genuine, having been through our stringent verification process. It means that when you visit our site you can choose our businesses with total confidence - after all, peace of mind is priceless!

Our review system also works both ways - as part of their membership, our businesses MUST be recommended and we encourage them to collect reviews from their customers on a regular basis.

If you're a local business and you think you're the best at what you do (and you've got the reviews to prove it!) please give Harry a call on 01224 515555 - we'll be delighted to help you.
