It's that time of year when the trees are bare, there's a chill in the air and people are gearing up for Christmas. However, some of us won't just have last-minute gift shopping or a mad run to the supermarket for the turkey to worry about.

For people living with cancer, Christmas can be an especially hard time. So this year, why not do a good deed for the festive season and give a little of your time or money (or both!) to CLAN Cancer Support in Aberdeen?

CLAN is an independent charity which offers comfort and support to anyone affected by any type of cancer, from diagnosis onwards. The service is also extended to carers, family members and close friends - in fact, anyone who has been touched by cancer.

Services from CLAN are available free of charge and range from one to one support and complementary therapies to counselling and group activities. However, it would not be possible to provide these invaluable services without your support.

You can help to support the vital work of CLAN by making a donation (every penny counts), organising a fundraising event or becoming a volunteer with the charity. More information about how to get involved with CLAN can be found by visiting the website here.
