Calling all local artists

Aberdeen City Council has taken over 17 Belmont Street as a new centre for the arts. To be known as SEVENTEEN, it aims to be a central space for artists and organisations who wish to exhibit, showcase and create new work.

There will also be space for delivering art classes and artistic projects and meeting areas for local organisations to get together.

The council is looking for local people and art clubs and organisations to send in their expressions of interest in this new creative hub. So if you need somewhere to show your work, whether it be fine art, photography, sculpture or anything creative, send in your proposal.

There are three floors of space in SEVENTEEN and you can submit your interest with a simple proposal form which you can obtain by emailing 2017@aberdeencity.gov.uk

Coinciding with Aberdeen's bid to be European City of Culture 2017, this is a great opportunity to showcase the best of the arts in the centre of Aberdeen.
