Aberdeen's Winter Festival has been designed to incorporate the major events of the Scottish winter calendar, with everything from traditional Bonfire Night fun to family-friendly festive fun at the Christmas Lights Switch On.

The festival's great range of events run from 5th November to 25th January, and we've picked a selection of highlights such as:

Aberdeen Country Fair - 4th November and 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd December at Belmont Street, 9am - 5pm

Christmas Lights Switch On - Sunday 25th November, Union Street, from 5.30pm

Christmas Tree Switch On - Thursday 29th November, Castlegate, from 4pm

Nativity Scene Unveiling - Sunday 2nd December, St Nicholas Kirkyard, 12 noon

Santa and his Reindeer Parade - Sunday 2nd December, Castlegate to Union Street, from 11.45am

Carol Concerts - Saturday 24th December, Duthie Park Winter Gardens

Entrance to all events is FREE.
