Eagles Meadow

Grand Opening

Join in the fun and come along to the Eagles Meadow Grand Opening.

9:20am

Caribbean style carnival starting at Queens Square. The carnival, which will include Marcher Sound’s Galaxy and Thunder Crew, will be making its way through the streets of Wrexham to the new bridge connecting the existing shopping area of the town with Eagles Meadow and we’re hoping that as many members of the public as possible will join the procession.

10am

At 10am the opening ceremony will take place at the Eagles Meadow end of the bridge where the Worshipful Mayor of Wrexham, Councillor David Griffiths, will cut the ribbon and declare the centre open. He will be joined on stage by Marcher Sound presenter Lee Thomas, who will be conducting a grand countdown to the opening.

A simultaneous helium balloon launch will also mark the moment the centre opens with each balloon having special offer vouchers attached from Greggs, La Senza and Tenpin. And don’t forget to keep an eye out for our Eagles Meadow support teams who will be giving out goody bags which include some great offers from some of the centre’s leading retailers.

After the opening ceremony, you will be free to enter the centre and experience for the first time what Eagles Meadow has to offer.

The Marcher Sound Thunder Crew and Galaxy will be in the centre until 1pm to provide entertainment, music and give-aways. Additionally, many of the big brand retailers will also be staging their own activities including music and special offers so keep an eye on the local press and of course, our new website www.eagles-meadow.co.uk for updates and more information.

5pm

New 24 lane bowling centre, Tenpin, will also be open from 12noon onwards with a VIP guest performing a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5pm.
