The Anthony Nolan Trust is looking for ghost-hunters to spend the night in the very haunted Plas Teg House near Mold.
The event will take place on Friday 3rd October from 9pm to 3am and promises to be a real treat for anyone interested in the paranormal.
There will be a guided tour of the hall detailing real-life experiences and historical information followed by a ghost-hunting workshop with an experienced team of paranormal investigators, psychic experiments, medium ship and séances.
This impressive Jacobean style property was built in 1610 by Sir John Trevor and remained in his family for many centuries. It is believed that many of his descendents still haunt the house, including his daughter who fell down the well in the garden while hiding jewels to fund her elopement with a local farmer. The farmer, on hearing of her death, hung himself from a tree. Legend also has it that the fifth Sir John and his wife also haunt the house, On hearing that his wife was having an affair, he strangled his wife before riding off into the night. He fell off his horse and was brought back to the house where he lay in great pain before finally dying of his injuries a month later.
Ruth Carter, Regional Fundraising Manager for The Anthony Nolan Trust said, “Taking part in local events is a fantastic way to support the Charity. Your challenge is to spend the night in the chilling atmosphere of this 17th Century Hall. It is a fantastic location with classic ghost stories and recent activity, it promises to be a night to remember. Places are filling up fast, so book now to secure your ghost-hunting spot.”
Participants will be asked to raise sponsorship of at least £125 to help take back lives from leukaemia.
Right now, the Charity is urging more young men to join its bone marrow register. Only 11% of its register currently consists of young men aged between 18 and 35. However, 75% of those who go on to donate and save lives are men.
The Anthony Nolan Trust is an independent charity and relies on financial support from individuals and companies to fund its work. It costs the Charity £125 to tissue-type each new donor to its register.
