Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse has enjoyed being the Wrexham and North Wales' premier jump race course since 1859 and is steeped in a rich history having seen all of the great names in Jump Racing at the course over the years.

Indeed, Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is still a firm favourite on the Jump Racing calendar and the current crop of great jockeys regularly visit throught the year.

Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is unique in the UK as being the only Racecourse without a Grandstand ! Instead we rely on the natural amphitheatre provided by the surrounding grass banks, providing great viewing across the whole course for the many thousands of spectators who visit throughout the year. 

The Racecourse is a left handed jumps racecourse set in glorious Welsh countryside yet within very easy reach of the major road network and only 10 minutes from Wrexham and 25 minutes from Chester.

The much improved permanent facilities at the racecourse not only provide ample resources for all of our racegoers, they also provide the perfect venue for many other events which take place on the racecourse throughout the year on both race and non-race days.
