We provide professional training in Food Safety and Hygiene for all people involved in the handling of food for public consumption.  

Wrexham Food Hygiene Training deliver the latest Foundation course designed by the Chartered Institute of Enviromental Health

The food hygiene courses are suitable for a wide variety of candidates including :-

• New employees with minimal or no food safety knowledge
• Employees handling low risk or wrapped food
• Employees working ‘front of house’ such as waiting or check out staff
• Employes working ‘back of house’ such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff

The food hygiene & safety courses typically take 6 hours and delegates are then required to complete a 30 question multiple choice examination.  All papers are marked by the C.I.E.H. before the relevant professional certificate is issued for display.

Food Hygiene & Safety Courses can be delivered to groups of 1 or more people

The C.I.E.H foundation course covers the following topics

• Food Safety (Food Hygiene, hazards and responsibilities)
• Personal Hygiene
• Cleaning
• Contamination

Wrexham Food Hygiene Training is a local Wrexham based company and is owned and run by James O’Brien.   James has over 30 years experience in all aspects of the food manufacturing and hospitality industry. 

The son of a master Baker & Confectioner, he started his working life in the Baking industry prior to moving to Diversey and becoming a Food Hygiene Specialist, providing bulk detergents to the food manufacturing industry.  

James then joined the licensed trade gaining fellowship of the British Institute of Innkeeping for setting continued professional standards.  James final role before starting Wrexham Food Hygiene Training was with Kellogs where he was directly involved with the manufacture of cereal and milk bars for the retail industry.  

This wealth of experience enables James to deliver both informative and interesting Food Safety and Hygiene courses, illustrated with examples and anecdotes garnered from his first hand experiences in the industry.
