Logically Illogical: Living with Autism

A lecture by Ros Blackburn

Starts at 7.00pm

Ros Blackburn was diagnosed as severely autistic at the age of 18 months. Now in her thirties she is a highly respected international speaker on autism.

Although she feels that many areas of her autistic condition have remained very severe, others, such as her severe language delay, have disappeared almost completely.

In this free public lecture she will describe her coping strategies living in a still largely autism–unfriendly world and offers ideas to families, teachers and professionals who support people with autism.

This talk will be entertaining as well as being extremely informative, providing an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of autism.

Call 01978 293473 or email wideningaccess@newi.ac.uk for more information or to register your attendance.

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
