7th Jubilee Charity Walk

A chance to raise funds for your favourite charity - or simply enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Vale of Llangollen.

A choice of 2 circular walks of approximately 6 or 10 miles, starting and finishing in Llangollen

The longer “Sky Walk” is of a “moderate” grade and should take a regular walker at least 4½ hours plus breaks and there is an option to shorten the walk by about an hour if so required.

The shorter “Woods & Water Walk” will take 2½ to 3½ hours to complete and will pass through beautiful woodland, part of Offa’s Dyke and along a fine section of the Llangollen Canal including the Pontcysyllte aqueduct.

The route can be cut in half by returning to the start point by Mini bus fitted with a tail lift for disabled carriages, which the Rotary Club of Wrexham–Erddig will provide.

The start is at Ysgol Dinas Bran. (Dinas Bran School) in Abbey Road, Llangollen, close to the town centre.

Upon registration we will supply a route map, historical notes and a well earned Certificate on completion.

Simply come along at any time between 9.30am and 2pm, register at the recorders desk and away you go.

£5 entry fee per walker - for an application form go to www.werc.org.uk or ring 01978 290380 .

All entry fees donated to Hope House Children's Hospices.

Please note The Sky Walk is unsuitable for very young children, pushchairs or the infirm

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
