A complete course of 5 days - 10am - 5pm each day Evolving from the ancient worlds, widely used in mediaeval Europe in icon and spiritual works, this approach requires careful thinking, a subtle technique and patience. A range of skills are needed, which you will learn over the five days. This timescale also allows each layer and process to be progressively built upon the next. From creating the image, its transference to the gessoed panel, the laying and
burnishing of the gold leaf, to the application of many painted layers to complete your piece, you will emerge with a visual record, a sense of real achievement and will have experienced a
calming thoughtful process. Following a brief introduction, tuition will be given individually as each person progresses. Additional materials cost - please ask.
