When Berksons of Heswall, Wirral, closed it’s doors for the last time, there were many disappointed loyal customers who’ve since had to source their shoes elsewhere on Wirral. But soon there’ll be an alternative. Near to the former Berksons will be the brand new Tootsies shoe shop.
Next door to Galiana in Downham Road South, Heswall, Wirral, Tootsies will be trading in fashionable ladies shoes, handbags, parasols, umbrellas and slippers.
Behind this new venture is a local woman, Paula Barnes. She’s lived in the area all her life and until the end of January this year worked for the Wirral NHS. “Since leaving my job I’ve worked at Galiana, the successful Heswall designer women’s wear shop next door to Tootsies. I noticed more and more customers asking for shoes, and since it’s always been my dream to own a shop Tootsies was the obvious choice. I have a passion for shoes and accessories myself and will bring great choice to my customers.”
Paula has worked hard on decorating the interior of the shop to create the right ambience. She intends there to be a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Tootsies will be somewhere you can have a coffee and spend some time making the right decision. There will be no high pressure selling, just help at hand if you require assistance.
The shop will be open six days a week from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and Paula will open the shop for private evening appointments should you require. Orders for specific colours and sizes will be taken also.
