OAPs Information and Advice in Weymouth
Age Concern Weymouth is a charitable organisation running an ”Information & Advice” Centre, to inform, advise and signpost our older people about issues as diverse as insurance, wills, pensions & benefits as well as signposting services and activities in the Weymouth area for visitors and locals alike.
The Information & Advice Centre is located at
Pilgrims House, Hope St, Weymouth.
Open Monday to Fridays from 10am until 2pm.
Pilgrim House also enables this charitable organisation to plan development of new resources by listening and mapping what our older people say they need, so you will always be assured of a warm welcome and an empathetic ear.
Please visit the Events page for social activites run across Weymouth & Portland by Age Concern.
Senior Citizen’s Internet Café!
The latest addition to Age Concern Weymouth’s portfolio is the IT suite which is also sponsored by POPPs. Here, if you are up for it, you can get started on computers with a short course for £4 per hour or if you are already computer fluent you can use the internet café for £1 an hour.
Volunteers!
“You may need us in the future! But we need your help now!”
This charitable organisation is reliant on the help and support given to the branch by its gallant band of valued volunteers, and we welcome any potential recruits with open arms. Donations are also warmly welcome.
Age Concern was formed in Weymouth in 1988 to establish a co-ordinated support network for our older people living in the borough of Weymouth & Portland. It is a registered charity, affiliated to Age Concern, England and works with other charitable organisations across the county.
