The Gissing Centre is located at 2-4 Thompson's Yard, Westgate, Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

The Gissing Centre is a Georgian townhouse with small suite of rooms where novelist George Gissing lived from birth to the age of 13.

Opening times: May-September, Sat 2pm-4pm. Other times by appointment only.

Admission is free.
