Please bring your bicycle with you as we will be working on them on the different points shown below.
This ‘Know Your Bike Class’ is designed as a ‘hands on’ module for giving the knowledge for maintenance and roadside repairs to your bicycle.
All tools are supplied. It is not deemed as a qualification as a Cycle Technician.
Class 1
6:45pm Meet & Greet – Refreshments for all – Set up bikes to work on
7:00pm Wheels – Show the easiest way to remove front & rear wheels, tyres and tubes and what to look for.
An explanation of your tyre pressures & removal of cassettes and hub bearing types explained
Punctures – 3 blob technique and other tips to prevent in the future
Bike Set up – Guide lines on fitting to your bicycle
Class 2
6:45pm Meet & Greet – Refreshments for all – Set up bikes to work on
7:00pm Gears – Adjustments, cables, alignment importance, chain details on wear and to remove & refit
Brakes – Adjustment, pad wear alertness, understanding cables
Costs of the ‘Know Your Bike Classes’ are £10 per class per person, bring along your bicycle.
Tea, Coffee, Squash & Biscuits are available throughout the class.
It is recommended that you bring a notepad for taking notes. Cameras are permitted.
