Art Dejardin in Wing is once again opening its gardens to exhibit an eclectic mix of outdoor art
Eye-catching and exciting work from 17 highly acclaimed contemporary artists is lined up for Artdejardin 2008 – Rutland’s garden sculpture exhibition.
For the fourth year running, the eight acre gardens and grounds of Wingwell provide a natural showcase for work from renowned and admired artists.
The gardens of this family home have been lovingly developed by horticulturalist Rose Dejardin and her landscape architect husband John. They provide a stunning backdrop to sculpture - inviting visitors to appreciate how the pieces truly work in natural surroundings.
All exhibits are carefully sited to provoke inspire and please – settings range from woodland through border to vegetable plot.
With a world of difference between seeing something in a gallery and viewing it in its intended setting, Rose Dejardin hopes that Artdejardin will encourage more people to incorporate sculpture into their outside space
In the heart of rural England, Wingwell is at 5 Top Street, Wing, Oakham, and is open from Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am – 5pm from 21 May – 7 September.
Entrance is £3.50/£2.50 (accompanied children are free).
