Final weekend of Rutland Open Studios
x
From: 12 July 2008
To: 13 July 2008
This unique opportunity to visit artists in their natural habitat is coming to a close on Sunday 13 July.

There are 78 artists taking part - who create art and craft in all kinds of media all over Rutland, some in the most unusual of places!

It enables the public a ‘behind the scenes' glimpse at the reality of artists’ lives.

Prior to the event studios get spruced up and artists’ work until the small hours in order to have new works ready.

This annual event permits the public into the private studio world to witness the stages in the development of an artwork; providing an experience far removed from seeing a finished item in a gallery, demystifying and engaging you in the creative process.

Come along and experience art in the studio surroundings, feel inspired to purchase a work by an artist you've chatted with, or just have a great day out discovering who is on your doorstep.

Pick up a leaflet in good shops and public places, request or download a copy from www.rutlandopeenstudios.co.uk and www.valeofcatmose.co.uk to find out who is doing what where.

Main sponsors: Greetham Garden Centre and Rutland County Council.

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
