Using orginal music -some very rare - from the library at Burghley House
Brilliant use of St Martins' accoustics and creative programming by Fergus Black makes the St Martins Singers and Ensemble a regular favourite.
Main work is the Dies Irae by Salvador Pazzaglia, a memorial for Empress Maria Theresia of Hungary and Bohemia, Archduchess of Austria and Roman German Empress. It is the style and format of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater.
Fergus Black has transcribed the original manuscript from Burghley House specially for this concert.
The concert is sponsored by Stamford's Independent Councillors
Tickets are £12 from Stamford Arts Centre on 01780 763203
