Sensational rock 'n' roll concert at the southport Theatre

 Wednesday 17th September, 8.00pm

This sensational rock 'n' roll concert has audiences dancing in the aisles wherever it plays.

Acclaimed as the greatest ever portrayal of Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran, it fulfils the ultimate rock 'n' roll fantasy before your very eyes. Electrifying performances, a superb backing band and all your favourite rock 'n' roll hits ensure a great night out.
Ten years on, ROHD’s popularity has soared to great heights, incorporating new acts and stunning lighting. The end result is a slick, fast moving show that hardly leaves time for the audience to catch its breath before the next performer takes to the stage.
The flamboyant, Darren Green is a natural Jerry Lee Lewis. His looks and style of playing could not be more authentic. He opens the show with a performance that Jerry Lee himself would be proud of as during his rousing rendition of Great Balls of Fire his piano bursts into ‘flames’. Then the audience know they are in for a great night.
He is quickly followed on stage by new cast member, larger than life character John-Simon Rawlings (as The Big Bopper from the West End‘s Buddy Show). His easy rapport with the audience, coupled with his warmth and humour instantly wins them over as they clap and sing along with him.
Also, earlier this year, we welcomed on board Barry Steele as Roy Orbison – his voice is so like the great man himself that on occasions he has had to sing unaccompanied to prove that he isn’t miming!
Dave Wickenden is our new Buddy Holly. Dave’s performance has been acclaimed by no less than Marie Elena Holly (Buddy Holly’s widow) who was amazed at his similarity to her late husband.
Steve Halliday has made the role of Eddie Cochran (The Blonde Elvis) his own, he has all the sex appeal and charisma of Cochran, and is an accomplished guitarist. In the second half of the show, Richard Atkins strides on stage to the 2001 fanfare with searchlights scanning the audience. He holds the audience in the palm of his hand with his powerful performance as Elvis during his Vegas period. Every movement and gesture is pure Elvis.
Backed by a superb five piece band, led by legendary guitarist, Dr John Healy, featuring Darren Green (piano), Spencer Lingwood (Drums), Mark Fisher (Bass Guitar/Double Bass), and Toby Hounsham (keyboards) from start to finish ROHD will have you mesmerised by its performers uncanny likeness to the legends they portray.
The energy and vibrancy witnessed on stage is like no other. Superb lighting effects add to the ambiance of this stunning production. It is simply the best show of its kind as our audiences never tire of telling us.

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
