Community Fun Day full of entertainment and attractions.
Between 10am and 3pm on Saturday 4 October visitors to Devonshire Green will be able to enjoy a Community Fun Day full of entertainment and attractions.
The event has been organised by the Sheffield Council’s City Centre Ambassadors, with support from local businesses, and is being held to celebrate the completion of the Devonshire Green development.
Cllr Sylvia Anginotti, Cabinet Member for Economy and Enterprise, said: "The City Centre Ambassadors have worked really hard with local businesses to organise this event. It's going to create a lively and exciting atmosphere on Devonshire Green. We want people to come along and enjoy a great day out and see all the improvements to the Green. They really make a positive difference to the area.”
Attractions will include craft activities, a bouncy castle, Punch and Judy, fairground rides, face painting and craft, food and clothing stalls.
There will also be live music provided by The Green Room and Forum, and skateboarding demonstrations from The Story Store.
The event is also supported by Springfield School, Shopmobility and the Broomhall Forum.
Guy Biggin, City Centre Ambassador, said, “We have really enjoyed organising this event. We have got a strong relationship with the people who live and work in the communities which we patrol and it is great to be able to give something back. We would also like to say a big thank you to the businesses that are supporting the event. "
