Five Edges Family Walk
x
From: 11 October 2008
To: 11 October 2008
A circular walk, starting and finishing at the Robin Hood Pub near Baslow

The 5 edges sponsored family walk is a 6 mile off road event, over moorland but on recognisable paths and on gritstone edges. Some navigational skills will be required.

It is a circular walk, starting and finishing at the Robin Hood Pub near Baslow, where participants can park their cars or access the area by public transport. The main purpose for this is to raise money for Edale Mountain Rescue Team who save numerous lives a year.

Certificates and refreshments will be available at the start and the finish. Refreshments will also be available half way around, this is included in the entry fee. There is also an opportunity to have your face painted.

2008 will be the Nine Edges 3rd year and the first time for the family walk will take place 2 weeks after the main event. The route selected is on recognisable footpaths and tracks and you will gain a height of 300m during the walk, but it is not advisable that push chairs are used. However, this is up to you.

It is a fun and friendly day out for all the family!

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
