Bishops' House

Sheffield’s best-kept secret will amply reward any time detectives or treasure-hunters, willing to seek it out.

Over 500 years old, Bishops’ House is a living, breathing time capsule, where history seeps out of every wall and soot-stained fireplace.

A rare window on life in Sheffield before the steel and smog, Bishops’ House and a walk in nearby Meersbrook or Graves parks will bring a touch of magic to your weekend.

Special Activities for Children/Families Details:

Find out more about life in Tudor England by exploring Bishops’ House using our Family History Quest and by joining in with art activities including designing an outfit for Henry VIII or Elizabeth I.

Opening Times:
Saturday 13th September: 10am to 4.30pm
Sunday 14th September:   11am to 4.30pm

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
