Heritage Open Days - Wortley Hall Gardens
26 acres of Italianate gardens set within a landscaped parkland. 11 acres of formal gardens surrounded by 15 acres of informal pleasure grounds. Features within the gardens include sunken garden, lake with ice house and ancient oak tree some 500 years old. Guided tours (with the Head Gardener) will take you into areas not normally open to the public such as the Stable Block and the organic kitchen garden.
