Chance to Dance

A festival of Community Dance taking place in Sheffield City Centre. There will be performances in the Peace Gardens, Winter Gardens, Tudor Square, Fargate and Barkers Pool throughout the day.

Summer is here and the streets of Sheffield will be alive with dancing. Community Dance groups from across the region come together to perform and offer informal taster sessions. Watch them perform, and then have a go yourself.

This ever popular festival of community dance, from its small beginnings in 2001, has now grown into a mainstay of the Sheffield city centre calendar. Dancing is for all ages and a great way to have fun, make friends and stay fit and healthy.

Come into Sheffield city centre and see a huge range of dances - from Ballroom to Belly, from Jazz to Jive, from Mambo to Morris and from Salsa to Sequence. The event culminates in a mass Salsa in the Peace Gardens at 4:15pm.
