Sheffield Children's Festival - Silk Road Treasures
This is an exhibition of over 1000 pieces of arts and crafts inspired by the Silk Road, created by pupils from over 70 Sheffield schools. The Children's Festival is sponsored by Taylor Woodrow.
The Silk Road is the ancient route from China to Rome travelled by eastern merchants and traders carrying expensive fabrics and goods to sell in western countries. This has been the inspiration for this year’s exhibition of more than 1000 pieces of visual arts and crafts created by pupils from more than 70 Sheffield schools.
