The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew are offering families the chance to join in Year of the Tree activities throughout the summer months.

Climbers & Creepers

Between 19 July and 31 August Kew Gardens are offering you the chance to  join in Year of the Tree inspired activities…

Every day at 11am and 4pm, come in to Climbers and Creepers and pick up something to do as a family. As a family you can, among other things, take a leaf cutting, produce some bark rubbings, construct a nest, investigate fruit and flowers, try your hand at natural art or join in our tree games.

At 2pm and 3pm join the Climbers and Creepers team for tree themed activities. There will be a different activity each day throughout the gardens.

All sessions and activities are designed for 3 – 9 year olds.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
