Iʼd be at a real loss without Senshi and have come to consider Jackie as somewhat of a fairy godmother! My demanding job often leaves me feeling less than pretty, but a perfectionist by nature I would rather do my own treatments than trust salons which so often leave me with disappointing results. That was before Senshi… Since Senshi was recommended to me by my mother, father and sister, I’ve become a true convert. I now savour the experience of being primped and preened by someone else whose exacting standards are truly exceptional From nails to waxing and tanning, I trust Jackie implicitly, who never fails to transform the way I look and feel

Yes, truly exceptional. I am a man and have only had massage treatments but Jackie is an amazing practitioner. I have a lot of massages in my time - all I can say, Jackie has a special gift and I keep going back. The environment, while small, is very peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend to anyone - one of lifeʼs true pleasures.

I first started visiting Jackeline in the Summer of 06 in the lead up to my wedding. The plan was to fit in some much needed “me time” during this busy period. I found the calm I was so desperately seeking during my treatment time with Jackeline. Wanting my engagement ring to be seen in the best possible light I started a course of the Calgel permanent polish. I was astounded – not only were my nails chip free for 3 weeks or more, the protein rich polish made my nails grow and strengthen. Calgel soon became a permanent feature in my beauty regime and the best part was that I needed to do absolutely nothing in between my 3 weekly appointments. Suitably impressed with my nails I moved swiftly on to getting bikini ready for the honey moon with waxing, massage and fake tan. As a self confessed beauty addict who has sampled the best of what the exclusive west end can offer I would not go back. Two years from my first treatment I am a true Senshi convert – Jackeline is a naturally gifted therapist whose calming nature, coupled with seasoned skill makes treatment time at Senshi integral to my wellbeing.

Never will I go back to the dreaded acrylics! I have been having calgel put onto my nails at Senshi for months now, and my nails look fantastic. Theyʼre strong elegant, and the calgel lasts for weeks, much longer than when I was having acrylics. Calgel is organic so my nails arenʼt ruined, and in fact when the calgel comes off, my nails have never looked stronger or healthier. They looked fantastic on my wedding day a few months ago. Iʼd much rather have my nails done at Senshi, listening to soft music, drinking herbal tea, amid the smell of aromatherapy oils, rather than somewhere where the therapist has to wear a mask to protect herself from the fumes of the acrylics, whilst Iʼm sat there breathing it in! Jackeline is an absolute pleasure to deal with, and such a perfectionist. I canʼt wait to start trying out some of the other treatments.

Tried the new hot stone therapy at Senshi. Couldn’t see how effective some rocks on your back could be, but I couldn’t have been more wrong! Livia is a magician, and used the stones’ smooth sides and edges to massage more deeply around the body than a normal massage. You wouldn’t even know they were stones. The therapy immediately feels more effective, as you can feel the heat penetrating your muscles and sore spots. In fact, I was plastered to the bed in minutes and needed to be peeled off at the end. I would have slept there for days but it was already past closing and they had to lock up. What time do you open again, Jackeline?

Weʼve all experienced the (sadly) typical beautician. Therapists that don’t actually know what they’re applying to your skin, nail technicians that speak only to each other, making you feel like a number (no 397). That’s why even when I move out of Richmond I’ll come back to see Jackeline Wan at Senshi. She doesn’t just tell you she cares – she shows it, with a gentle manner, personal touch and perfectionist ways that demand her time and attention. Yes, she runs a business, but you’ll never feel rushed. In fact, you may never want to leave. Especially after you’ve had her gel nail treatment that (I believe when she says) will change the way you look at nail polish forever. Now, I never have to maintain my own nails at home, instead returning every 2-3 weeks (or 6 weeks after a gel pedi) to fill in the gaps. I guess, at least then, you have the pleasure in returning.
