Alison M

Hi, my name is Alison. I am the co-owner of both The Best of Rhyl and The Best of Prestatyn. I am a Mum of 2 children, 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 rabbit and several fish! In my spare time (ha,ha) I like walking, going to the cinema and eating out. I have lived in this area since 1977, having moved with my family from Lancashire. My favourite holiday destinations are Spain and Turkey, although I would love to travel to America. My likes are people I can get along with, sunshine and peace & quiet, my pet hates are people who take advantage.

Trevor T

Trevor spent some time in Rhyl during the second World War as an evacuee, having been bombed out of his home in Plymouth. He now lives in Canada but has very fond memories of Rhyl and the surrounding areas.

Jeremy and Alison

We are the site owners of The Best of Rhyl, and also of The Best of Prestatyn. We started running The Best of Rhyl in January 2007 and in that time have met some really interesting people. Our previous work experience has been in the building trade (for Jeremy!) and office work for Alison. We started The Best of Rhyl because we both wanted a job which we could work around our family life and liked the idea of promoting local businesses. We also liked the fact that it wasn't one of those sites which takes you from link to link to link and leads you nowhere. We have been on various training courses to help us run the site as efficiently as possible and pride ourselves on being local (& available). When you contact The Best of Rhyl you won't get put through to a call centre, if we can get to the phone you will only speak to one of us & we have taken calls at some pretty strange times! On a day to day basis Jeremy goes out in and around town - meeting new clients and keeping up to date with existing ones, whilst Alison works mainly in the office - writing features, the newsletter, the blog (!) and looking after the money. Although we have only been running the site for a short time we are really enjoying it and hope to be around for a long time. Thanks for reading!
