Lichfield Council invite you to attend Rural Planning Workshops
7th February 2011

In the summer, Lichfield District Council travelled the length and breadth of the district, stopping off at village halls and community centres, to ask local people for their thoughts on local housing, jobs, services, transport and more.

Now the council’s development plans team has compiled the results, it will be re-visiting the areas to ask local people to vote on the main findings - to see if they agree with the results so far and to give their views.

Everyone who comes along will also have the chance to get involved in drawing up plans for their villages - with plenty of felt pens, tracing paper, and tea and coffee!

Programme of informal drop-in events

Alrewas Village Hall on Tuesday 8 February, from 4pm to 8pm.
Armitage Village Hall (Shropshire Brook Rd) on Saturday 12 February from 10am to 2pm.
Little Aston Primary School on Wednesday 16 February, from 3.30pm to 7.30pm.
Shenstone Village Hall on Friday 18 February, from 4pm to 8pm.
Fradley Village Hall on Wednesday 23 February, from 4pm to 8pm.
Mile Oak Community Centre on Thursday 24 February, from 3.30pm to 7.30pm.
Whittington Village Hall on Friday 25 February, from 4pm to 8pm.

The council will send out leaflets, with more information about each event, to residents and businesses across these areas.

Councillor Neil Roberts, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Development Services, said: “We will use the feedback to help us to shape our proposals for how our rural areas could be improved in the future. This is why it is important that lots of people get involved in the process and have their say.”

CABE and ATLAS are running these workshops on behalf of Lichfield District Council. For more information, please visit www.lichfielddc.gov...uk/ruralplanning or telephone development plans on 01543 308192 or 308148.
