FREE BUSINESS AND IT COURSES IN ILFORD

Redbridge Institute of Adult Education is running free business and IT courses as part of the Ilford Town Centre Alliance Project (ITCAP).

A three-year project supported by £872,500 from the London Development Agency, the project is aimed at creating and safeguarding jobs in the town centre through the expansion of retail. Improving the skills of local job seekers, town centre employees and owners/managers of independent shops via the delivery of qualifications is central to the strategy.

The intensive one-day courses will be held at Mildmay Neighbourhood Learning Centre, which is just two minutes walk from the Central Library in Ilford. Those who work in the town centre or who do not work, but live in Redbridge can choose from one of the following:

  • Essential Business Presentation Skills - Using PowerPoint – Saturday 10 May
  • Producing a Perfect Brochure, Catalogue or Leaflet - Saturday 24 May
  • Effective Business English - Saturday 14 June
  • Getting to grips with Taxation - Wednesday 16 July
  • Understanding Payroll - Thursday 17 July

There is also a free five-week team leading course aimed at businesses and organisations in the Ilford area This course is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management and learners can gain the Award in Team Leading. The first course starts on Saturday 26 April.
