About our Remedial Masseuse:
Stephanie Mullish qualified in Anatomy Physiology and Body Massage in 2001 and works under the standards governed by I.T.E.C. and I.I.H.H; she is also a member of the Complementary Therapist Association. She took a particular interest in Antenatal massage and extended her training to become a qualified practitioner in 2002.
Our Remedial Masseuse offers the following non-physiotherapy treatments from our Loughton and Woodford Green clinics:
Specialist Antenatal Massage: massage treatment during pregnancy is an excellent drug-free method of relieving aches and pains caused by sore muscles and weight bearing joints (75 minutes for £50.00)
Therapeutic Body Massage: this massage treatment will relax tight and fatigued muscles whilst improving muscle and skin tone, leading to reduced feelings of tension and stress (Full body Massage -ladies only- 60 mins for £40.00) (Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage: 45 mins for £35.00).
Indian Head Massage: this intensely relaxing treatment will especially benefit those who are suffering from tension headaches and stress. It is an ancient therapy used in eastern cultures, which concentrates on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face and is performed whilst seated (45 minutes for £35).

Please note, the Remedial Massage service at Elaine Atkins Physiotherapy Associates is available to all clients, regardless of whether or not they are receiving Physiotherapy.
Wait a minute though… are you suffering from a persistent or recurring condition?
If you are suffering from a persistent or recurring condition such as back and neck pain, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, sports injury or slipped disc, it would be better for you to be assessed by one of our Chartered Physiotherapists to ensure that you receive the most appropriate treatment and advice. We work closely with the Remedial Masseuse at our Woodford Green and Loughton practises who may refer clients to us in order to ensure that the most effective treatment for their condition is provided. In turn, Physiotherapists may also refer Patients to her for massage treatments which are complimentary to their treatment plan.
Our Remedial Masseuse does not offer sports massage, however Physiotherapy and Remedial Massage can both be used in the treatment of sports injury. No referral for Physiotherapy or Remedial Massage treatment is necessary, however, if you are in doubt your GP will be able to advise you as to which would provide the most appropriate treatment for your condition.
