Who are we and what do we do?

We are registered with Ofsted and our dav nursery is regularly inspected to ensure national childcare standards and foundation stage education standards are adhered to.  The latest Ofsted inspection report on the childcare provided by our day nursery is available upon request.

Aims of the HFCA Day Nursery

Our day nursery in Hainault, Essex actively includes childcare for everyone irrespective of ethnicity, culture or religion, family background, special educational needs, disabilities, gender or ability.  Every child is assigned a key worker who observe and evaluate each child and individually plan both indoor and outdoor activities.  Parents are welcome and indeed encouraged to work in partnership with the day nursery team.

Organisation of the day nursery

Registered to provide childcare for 70 children between the ages of 3 months to 4 years, our day nursery in Hainault, Redbridge can offer both full and part-time places, with a two day or two session minimum.  The nursery is split into three rooms and cares separately for:

    • Babies up to 2 years
    • Toddlers from 2 – 3 years
    • Foundation Stage 3 – 4 years

Nursery Opening Hours

The day nursery is open from 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks of the year and closes on all statutory bank holidays and, in addition, for 3 days each year for staff training.

The Nursery learning environment

Our day nursery in Hainault, Redbridge follows Birth to Three Matters, which is a framework backed and funded by the Government to provide guidance to people working in childcare with babies and toddlers because research has shown that a child’s earliest years are very important to their later development.  To discuss the details of this framework please contact the HFCA Day Nursery.

Foundation Stage Nursery Education for the over threes

This stage has a curriculum guidance, which is set by the government and is compulsory for the nursery to follow. The foundation stage curriculum is organised into six areas of learning and full information can be obtained by contacting the Nursery

To all at Hainault Day Nursery, How can we even begin to express our immense gratitude for the care you have given our daughter over the past four yearsʽ We feel that she is an amazing, kind, thoughtful clever and well rounded child (we may be biased!) and we cannot take credit for that as so much of her shaping and develpment is thanks to all of you. Prehaps the biggest credit to you is that in four whole years we have never once gone to work worried about the care she is recieveing but instead we have been confident that it is second to none. We know that she is going to miss you all incredibly - you have been such a huge part of he life for so long, it is hard to believe that she joined you aged just 6 months old (and look at her now!!) Special thanks must go to those who have prehaps touched her life most though, Nishel, Emma, Hannah, Vicky, Jean, Margaret, Tina and Danielle. You have been in her life for the first four years but the impression you have left will last forever. Thank you, from the Heart. Katie and Lloyd Bettle-Higgins

This was a letter that one of our parents sent to us when their child was moving on to school, they asked me to post it on the website for them. It is such a lovely letter and we are truly thrilled to think we are so highly thought of. We are very honoured to have such input into childrens lives. I, like many other parents probably feel, was apprehensive about sending my daughter to day care and to handing her over to other people to take care of her, but my daughter has attended this nursery since she was 5 months old. She loves it and always has a lot of fun. All of the children are very well looked after and I know her best interests are in the hearts of all the staff that work there. All the children are provided with 3 good meals a day and the atmosphere is very relaxed (but still with the correct limits and rules and constant care). The children get to do things they enjoy doing, when they want to do them. My daughter has learnt so much and has developed very quickly during her time with the nursery and I know that along with the other children, she is always given the full attention she needs. The set-up is great as each child has a dedicated key worker, with whom you can meet and discuss your child, this means that although all the staff are aware of what is happening with your child, you have one key contact. Each child also has a record of what they can do, what they have learnt and how they are developing. This is great as you can still learn what your child is doing whilst you are not there, and is a great memory provider! I could not ask for a better nursery or better care for my daughter.
