Waste not want not

Home composting is becoming more and more popular. It is estimated that about a third of the rubbish which we put in our wheelie bins could be composted, which is better for the environment and better for you - free compost! There are various items which we normally throw away which are suitable for composting - fruit and vegetable peelings, grass cuttings, shredded paper, all you do is put them into a compost bin and let the nature do the rest. Denbighshire County Council currently have slimline composting bins on offer at ten pounds available to anyone living in the county. Details of how to order one and a list of what you can compost can be found on their website by clicking here. Please note that this link will open in the same window.
