Based in Purston, near Pontefract, Robert and Heather Copley have been operating Farmer Copley’s Farm Shop since December 2003.
Farmer Copley’s pride themselves on the fact that 90% of the produce in the farm shop is from within a 30 mile radius including home produced beef and eggs.
Since opening, Farmer Copley’s Farm Shop have been recipients of a number of awards including:

Farmer Copley’s Farm Shop also offer all of the following:

Acclaimed pork pies for which we were recently featured on Prime Time TV show Richard and Judy, with rave reviews on our liquorice pork pies "a belting pork pie"
Aberdeen Angus steak pies.
Home Produced Bacon and Sausages from our outdoor pork.
Selection of cheese, preserves, accompanying curry and pasta sauces along with a range of dairy products.

Farmer Copley's Farm Shop have now opened a second shop in Altofts near Normanton, West Yorkshire ,which offers a full range of high quality home and locally produced fare, all sourced from the Farm Shop. Plus there’s a qualified butcher on site to ensure you get exactly what you require.

At the Purston shop there is also a small area with ride on tractors for children. They can also collect their own eggs and see other farm animals.

Farmer Copley’s Farm Shop opening times are:

Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 5.30pm
Sundays and Bank Holidays 10.00am to 4.00pm

I canʼt praise Farmer Copleyʼs enough. My wife and I shop there regularly as the food is great, fairly priced, and locally sourced where possible. The staff are friendly efficient and knowledgeable. I look forward to going there for our weekly shop and wish I could go there more often. Itʼs one of the few shops Iʼve been to where I have never seen anyoneʼs kids throw a ʼsupermarket tantrumʼ as itʼs fun and engaging for the littleʼuns.

Farmer Copleyʼs farm shop was highly recommended to me, and it has really lived up to my expectation. Their shops are spotless and the staff are very friendly. They have an extensive range of meats and specialist foods, and their pork sausage is delicious. Even my 5 year old commented on how tasty they were, and now wont settle for any other brand!. Well worth a visit - You will not be disappointed.

I have been going to Farmercopleys since it first opened. As an animal lover I have always been very concerned where I purchased my meat produce. Farmercopleys meats are second to none and I have the added assurance from the owners Rob and Heather on how the meat reached the shop. I have seen the shop grow from strength to strength and the range of produce now available to purchase is superb. Itʼs lovely to see the customers arrive with their children - itʼs actually a day out as the children can play on the toy tractors and see the various farm animals. I truly recommend that you visit Farmer Copleyʼs Farm Shop, we went one weekend for a visit and are now regulars. The steak pies are the best we have ever had, highly recommend a try, as are the pork pies and sausages. I could carry on with a list of recommendations, but you need to visit and try yourself! The staff are all very helpful and extremely friendly, I can guarantee that you will be tempted to buy something and wont be disappointed.
