The Carlton Big Band of Plymouth can provide you with that combination of music to suit any age group or event. We can supply DJ’s or vocalists with backing tracks.
Carlton Big Band
Our fifteen-piece Carlton Big Band is guaranteed to add a touch of class and glamour to your special day. With the cream of jazz musicians in the South West, we offer opulence of a bygone age. With music from Glenn Miller to Van Morrison, the music programme you can chose from 200 charts, comprising Jazz, Swing, Latin, and Classic Pop numbers. You can book the Band with or without vocalists as requested.
Carlton Swing Band
Our Carlton Swing Band is an eight to ten-piece band which offers a selection of music suitable for swing and most types of dancing. ‘Rat-Pack’ charts for theme evenings, with vocalists crooning in the style of Frank Sinatra give the swing band that swing which will appeal to a wide age group. Popular musician vocalist Michael Lawrence adds his easy, laid back style to the band.
The Elaine Davies Quartet
Our musician foursome offers a sophisticated blend of easy listening, mainstream jazz standards, with Elaine on soprano/alto/tenor saxophones, flute and vocals, and a great rhythm section comprising, piano, bass and drums. We can tailor the programme of jazz music to suit your tastes.
Mambo
Mambo is a Latin band featuring Irma Paraiso, of ‘Hot-Salsa’ fame on vocals. The lively rhythm section includes piano, guitar, drums, congas, and bass, with sax, trumpet and trombone on the front line. Our musicians offer an exuberant fiesta band for your salsa dancing.
Wedding Band
Your live band of choice could really get your wedding guests up and dancing at your wedding reception. Just tell us what wedding music you want, the wedding reception venue, and we’ll be there!
