As a health and fitness club we offer an exceptional gymnasium, paying particular attention to layout to ensure that the self-conscious feel comfortable in their fitness training and quest for health.
Unlike other gyms, people are not exercising on fitness machines behind you. There are no mirrors for people to look and judge your gym fitness training. You won’t be the youngest, oldest, fattest or thinnest at our Plymstock, Plymouth club.
The gym is air-conditioned for fitness training comfort. For your entertainment, televisions are linked to headphone points on the fitness exercise machines, enabling you to listen as well as watch whilst gym training for fitness.
There is so much fitness equipment in the gym that rarely, even at the busiest times for classes and training, will you have to wait for fitness training machines to become available.
At Fort Stamford Health and Fitness of Plymstock, Plymouth, we do not take your money, set a health and fitness programme and wave goodbye.
Our fitness instructors will initially comprehensively appraise your general health and fitness with a series of tests; introduce to you fitness equipment in the gym; and write a suitable programme for you to follow for your health and fitness.
We will regularly review, modify your health and fitness programme and reassess your general health-free of charge. We know that by doing so, it is the best way to keep you motivated and help you achieve in your training whatever fitness and health levels you set out to achieve.
We are not just a gym. We offer over 25 fitness and exercise classes per week for your health and fitness in our air-conditioned studio (without mirrors).
At Fort Stamford Health and Fitness Club of Plymstock, Plymouth, we are Plymouth’s biggest squash centre, providing table tennis, tennis, and crèche facilities. Fitness is fun.
Our wonderful toning tables enable you to tone your body without physical exertion and improve your health and fitness flexibility and range of movement.
At Fort Stamford we even have a small Swimming Pool and sauna. After fitness classes and training our club sauna is beneficial.
