Coronation Park

This recently refurbished town park in Ormskirk provides a combination of formal, informal and amenity areas to suit all tastes.
Within the traditional formal area the new park bandstand plays host to a range of music from brass bands and folk groups to jazz quartets and up and coming local rock groups. Children are catered for with two play areas and a skate park providing fun for toddlers through to teenagers. Family groups can enjoy the fun of feeding the ducks or having a picnic, whilst those who just wish for a little peace and quiet can stroll around the brightly coloured flower displays.
The more open amenity areas play host to regular football matches and other sporting activities, provide a base for the annual Ormskirk Funfair, and afford dog walkers plenty of space to exercise their pets in the park.
As a contrast to the more formal facilities the informal areas provide interest for the wildlife enthusiasts with a vibrant wildlife meadow and secluded woodland walk.
