SEPTEMBER

2ND - CANOEING ON THE TAMAR. Cotehele to Morwhellam with the tide. 2.5 hrs. inc. break at Calstock. £22pp

8TH - BE CLICK CONFIDENT 10am. NEEDLEWORK re-starts, 2pm.

9TH - WHIST

10TH  - FAMILY HISTORY. 'My Ancestor was a Sailor' and next years programme.

11TH  - WALKING, 9.30am, short walk. CREATIVE WRITING, 2-4pm. THEATRE, 'Born in the Gardens', Theatre Royal, Plymouth.

15TH - BE CLICK CONFIDENT, 10am. BACKGAMMON 2.30pm.

16TH - Two Moors Picnic, Noon at Bellever. Bring own food & seating,  SX656772. READING 2.30pm 'A House Unlocked' by Penelope Lively.

18TH - THEATRE. 'Far from the Maddening Crowd', Northcott Theatre, Exeter. COPY FOR NEWSLETTER DUE.

22ND - BE CLICK CONFIDENT 10am.

23RD - CYCLE to Lydford, pub lunch and return, a leisurely ride with nothing steep, mostly on defuncy railway line, 16 miles appx. total. Bike hire £10.

24TH - WALKING 9.30am - long walk. LUNCHEON 1pm, The Red Lion, Exbourne. Special of two courses + tea/coffee for £7.95

25TH - 2.30pm GENERAL MEETING.

26TH - GARDEN. Winsford walled garden near Halwill Junction. A lost Victorian Garden where marvellous restoration is going on since 1999. £4.50, refreshments available.

29TH - BE CLICK CONFIDENT 10am. PHOTOGRAPHY 10.30am, visit to Buckland Abbey, off the Yelverton-Miolton Coombe road. SX474648. BACKGAMMON 2.30pm.

30TH - WHIST 2pm

16TH - THEATRE. 'Beauty and the Beast'. Birmingham Royal Ballet at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth.

30TH - THEATRE. 'Carousel' starring Lesley Garrett, Theatre Royal, Plymouth.

NOVEMBER

7TH - BOURNEMOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA at Exeter Great Hall. Beethoven sym 2, Mozart violin concerto 3 in G, Mendelssohn sym 4 'Italian'.

15TH - THEATRE. 'Belshazzar's Feast', by William Walton, Exeter Cathedral.
